On Tuesday 23rd May 2023, the opening pairs match of the Northants & Hunts Golf Society season was played at Rushden Golf Club at Chelveston.
The players enjoyed a bright, sunny and warm day that produced some very good golf.
The day’s competition winners were WBro Steve Storey from Old Northamptonians Lodge and WBro Alex Thomson from Anglo Scottish Lodge (pictured below).
The runners up were Bro Gary Davies and Bro Gareth Lavery also both of Old Northamptonians.
Both of these pairs will go on to represent the Province in the Midlands Pairs Challenge which will see 10 provinces playing in Derbyshire in July this year.
While the competition during the day was obviously keen it was also a great way for members with a love of golf to socialise with like-minded brethren.
The next match is the Bill Wright trophy which is being played on June 16th at Kingsthorpe Golf Club the details of which will be released in the next few days.
