Ellindon Provincial Library

The Provincial Library (visits by appointment), is under the care of Richard Sandbach Lodge of Research No. 9600. Its librarian is WBro Alan Harden PPJGW.

Some very old books can be viewed albeit they CANNOT be taken off the premises.

The Provincial Library is now located at the Ellindon Masonic Centre, Peterborough and contains over 2000-books, e.g:

  • St Peter's Lodge No. 442 old minute-books, etc.
  • Very old summonses from the 1800's
  • Lodge circulars (e.g., summonses from 1919-2009, 2017-2018)
  • Yearbooks (1945-2007)
  • Mark Master Masons yearbooks (1990-2003)
  • The Masonic Record
  • ARS Quatuor Coronatorum 1894-1999 (a very good resource for research - see catalogue for more details)
  • A selection of magazines, etc.
  • Many very old summonses from different lodges within the Province and elsewhere (viewing only)
  • Many old pictures, e.g., pictures of Past Masters, Masters, Masons, Buildings etc.

The catalogue has a synopsis (what the book contains) as a few titles are not easy to understand, eg. ARS Quatuor Coronatorum.
