Freemasons Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum

The Freemasons’ National Service of Remembrance was held today at the National Memorial Arboretum, bringing together Brethren and dignitaries from across the country to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

Among the distinguished attendees were RW Bro Warren Duke, Metropolitan Grand Master, RW Bro Brigadier W. Shackell, and RW Bro John Thompson, Assistant Grand Master. Their presence, alongside representatives from numerous Provinces, highlighted the deep respect and gratitude that Freemasonry continues to show toward the Armed Forces and all who have served.

The Provinces were proudly represented by their Provincial Grand Masters, each of whom laid wreaths on behalf of their members, supported by their Provincial Standards. It was a moment of unity, reflection, and remembrance — a powerful demonstration of Freemasonry’s enduring values of service, brotherhood, and remembrance..

This annual event continues to remind us of the shared principles of honour, charity, and remembrance that bind Freemasons across the country and generations.
