3 Pillars-Feeding the Homeless & Supporting the Community - Northampton update

Aaron Day, Provincial Grand Chaplain, who is leading this project in Northampton confirmed they have served over 170 meals in the last 3 nights and over 100 food parcels have now gone out.

He further explained they are getting desperately short of the following

  • Volunteers to help out on the night (especially Friday nights) duties include, taking orders, serving food, working in the kitchen, washing/drying up and making Teas/coffees/drinks etc

  • Volunteers to make food at home and bring in already prepared. (such a casseroles, shepherd’s pies, lasagnes etc – Full list available)

  • Volunteers to come in a join the cooking team which is once or twice per week (preparing food for the night or batch cooking and freezing)

  • Items for the food bank incl, tinned meat, fruit, beans, rice pudding, tomatoes, fish - Jars or bolognaise, curry, chilli sauces etc, - tea, coffee, sugar, long life milk - Toiletries – shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, deodorants, soap, sanitary products, washing powder etc,
