Aaron Day, Provincial Grand Chaplain, who is leading this project in Northampton confirmed they have served over 170 meals in the last 3 nights and over 100 food parcels have now gone out.

He further explained they are getting desperately short of the following

Volunteers to help out on the night (especially Friday nights) duties include, taking orders, serving food, working in the kitchen, washing/drying up and making Teas/coffees/drinks etc

Volunteers to make food at home and bring in already prepared. (such a casseroles, shepherd’s pies, lasagnes etc – Full list available)

Volunteers to come in a join the cooking team which is once or twice per week (preparing food for the night or batch cooking and freezing)

Items for the food bank incl, tinned meat, fruit, beans, rice pudding, tomatoes, fish - Jars or bolognaise, curry, chilli sauces etc, - tea, coffee, sugar, long life milk - Toiletries – shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, deodorants, soap, sanitary products, washing powder etc,
