An Introduction To Our New PGM..

On Wednesday the 27th of July 2022, The Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master, Peter Geoffrey Lowndes, will visit our Province and conduct the Installation of WBro Mark Constant PSGD, APGM as Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire.

WBro Mark Constant PSGD, APGM, PGM Designate

Mark Robert Constant was born in Bedford in 1965 and attended Kimbolton School in Huntingdonshire.

Upon leaving school, Mark joined the family electrical contracting business before spending a number of years in management consultancy in London.

He subsequently formed a consultancy business specialising in the social care sector, afterwards establishing his own successful social care company in 1998.

Now semi-retired, Mark lives in a small village in East Northamptonshire with his wife Dawn. They have four children and five grandchildren.

Mark enjoys refurbishing derelict and listed buildings, bringing them back into use. When time allows, he also follows his interest in classic English sports cars.

WBro Mark was initiated into Old Kimboltonians' Lodge No. 7204 on the 21st of October 1994. Having worked through the progressive lodge offices, he was installed as Worshipful Master in 2005.

WBro Mark also became a joining member of Grosvenor Lodge No. 1257 in 1998, subsequently progressing into the Chair of King Solomon in that lodge in 2004.

In 2007, WBro Mark received his first Provincial appointment as Provincial Grand Steward followed by a promotion to Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2011, the same year he was appointed to Metropolitan London Grand Rank.

A further promotion to Provincial Senior Grand Warden followed in 2013 after which WBro Mark also served as a Group Officer for Corby.

In 2019, WBro Mark was appointed as Assistant Provincial Grand Master, the position he will hold until his Installation.

WBro Mark was honoured with his first Grand Rank appointment to Junior Grand Deacon (an active rank) in 2018. Then in 2021, he received a promotion to Past Senior Grand Deacon.

WBro Mark is also a joining member of six other Craft lodges as well as a founder of the recently consecrated Mulliner Classic Car Lodge No. 10019. He is also an honorary member of two other lodges.

In the Royal Arch, Excellent Companion Mark was exalted into Euston Chapter No. 2283 in 1998, progressing through the offices to MEZ in 2008. He was honoured with appointments to Provincial Grand Sojourner in 2011, and from 2015 to 2018, served as Third Provincial Grand Principal.

In 2017, E Comp Mark was appointed by Supreme Grand Chapter as Past Grand Standard Bearer. He is also a joining member of two other Chapters.

WBro Mark has served as a Trustee of the Provincial Grand Charity since 2015 and been a main board Trustee of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) since 2019.

As President of the Northants & Hunts New & Young Masons Club (NHNYMC), Mark played a significant role in the Club’s formation in 2019 and its subsequent development.
