On Friday 1st April 2022 at Sheaf Close, Northampton, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VWBro Charles Bennett, presented a cheque for £500 to the Province of Warwickshire 2023 Festival and to their Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro David Greenwood, together with the members of the Mike Hailwood Lodge number 9839.
WBro David Greenwood has the honour to be both an Assistant Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire and the Province’s 2023 Festival Director.
With the assistance of one of the Warwickshire Lodges, Mike Hailwood Lodge No. 9839, he is attempting, over the period of two weeks, to visit every Province in England and Wales, ending up at Great Queen Street on or around April 9th.
He is attempting this on a motorbike. Well, I hear you say what’s so impressive about that! Answer, he hasn’t ridden a motorbike bike since having had a very serious accident in1987, which left him both mentally and physically scarred. The challenge is a big one.
The plan is to leave the Warwickshire Provincial Headquarters in Erdington, Birmingham on Friday 25th March. They will then visit every Province and try to attend a lodge meeting every evening in the Province they are staying overnight.
On the 1st April they arrived in the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire and at Sheaf Close were presented with a cheque for £500 towards the Warwickshire 2023 Festival. Also providing support at the presentation were brethren from the Graham Milton Lodge number 9796, a motor cycling specialist lodge from our own Province,
We wish the Assistant Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire, WBro David Greenwood, and the members of the Mike Hailwood Lodge number 9839, the very best with their Ride Out around the Provinces.
