Chocolates and Mince Pies for Palmer Court!

On Tuesday the 22nd of December 2020, thanks to an excellent idea by Bro Martin Fletcher supported by Wellingborough Light Blues and local lodges, residents at Palmer Court were provided with a festive consignment of mince-pies and chocolates.

A similar gift was presented to The Three Pillars Feeding The Homeless Trust as well as Xmas presents for a number of children from a women's domestic violence unit. Wellingborough Food Bank also received food to the value of £120.

The staff at Palmer Court having been doing an excellent job of preparing for the festive period.

A free Christmas meals programme started at the beginning of the last lockdown on November 5th will culminate with a free Christmas dinner funded by the Provincial Grand Charity.

In addition, Jill Lett (Palmer Court Scheme Manager) and some of the younger residents provided the labour to distribute some 225 delicious hot meals during the period which the restrictions prevented the Light Blues assisting.

All in all, it's clear that the Palmer Court residents are in excellent hands. We wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
