The Edwardian Pavilion at Wicksteed Park, Kettering was a fitting venue for the third and final Provincial Tercentenary celebration event, which was held on Saturday the 21st of October 2017.
Over 450 brethren, ladies and guests dusted off their DJs and cocktail dresses to enjoy a lovely drinks reception accompanied by a beautiful string quartet.
The Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes, supported by members of the Provincial Executive and other distinguished brethren, warmly welcomed everyone after which dinner was served.
In his address, the Provincial Grand Master explained that the evening was one for celebration. He invited all the ladies present to take part in a free draw involving a first-prize to the value of £300, which was subsequently won by Mrs Sandra Summerfield.
The Provincial Grand Master also paid tribute to the Tercentenary Committee led by WBro William Diggins for their hard work and organisation skills throughout this wonderful year.
The evening featured entertainment and dancing with dance-band GoldToNew.
At midnight, piper WBro Scott Morton brought proceedings to a close with a haunting rendition of Auld Lang Syne and, of course, The National Anthem.
It was a truly terrific evening. Thanks again to all those involved.
