Cumton December Meeting

At their December meeting, held on Wednesday 6th December, Cumton Lodge 8869, welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master WBro Michael Casement-Jones, who mentioned in his response it was his first ever visit to the lodge and his first visit to Castle Ashby House. Without doubt one of the most amazing settings for a lodge meeting within our Province. The Chapel at Castle Ashby House isn’t the largest, so limits its meetings to just 50 attendees in total.

The meetings are always oversubscribed, particularly the December meeting which includes a seasonal festive board held at the nearby Compton Estates Club. The WM, WBro Stephen Addy conducted an excellent Initiation Ceremony that had special family connections for our Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, WBro Roger Blason. The Candidate, Bro Jason Cross is due to be come WBro Roger’s Brother-in-law and Son-in-Law to WBro Stuart West in the near future. (Pictured).

The lodge presented the APGM with a cheque for £150 for Teddies for Loving Care, which was very gratefully received. A number of Active Provincial & Group Officers managed to get themselves booked in to support both the meeting itself and the APGM’s visit. With such a great atmosphere at the festive board all were left wanting more and hope to visit again soon.
