New Communications Officers for the Province

WBro Geoff Willis – Local Communications Officer – Northampton

 

The PGM has been pleased to appoint WBro Geoff Willis as Local Communications Officer, working alongside WBro Ian Nelson in Northampton, after the sad loss of WBro Mike Howells earlier in the year.

WBro Geoff was initiated into Eleanor Cross Lodge No. 1764 in 1999 and went through the progressive offices before reaching the chair in 2007, becoming Master again in 2010, before serving as Director of Ceremonies for many years and is currently Secretary.

In 2009, Geoff was honoured with an appointment to Provincial Grand Steward and is member of the Palmer Lodge of Provincial Grand Stewards No. 8995. In 2013 he was promoted to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in recognition of his work in connection with the move to Sheaf Close, Northampton.

A member of Eleanor Cross Chapter No.1764, becoming MEZ in 2012 and was appointed to active rank as Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 2015, then promoted to Past ProvincialDeputy Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2020.

Born and educated in Hertfordshire, Geoff studied law at King's College London, before qualifying as a solicitor,specialising in commercial property.

Married to Claire, they have 2 children, both at university and enjoys history, walking and photography. He has been on the board of Northampton based charity Spectrum Northants Limited for 25 years.


WBro Jason Harris – Local Communications Officer – Kettering & Thrapston

 

The PGM has been pleased to appoint WBro. Jason Harris as Local Communications Officer for Kettering & Thrapston, replacing WBro Jason Brice who continues on the committee in his Royal Arch role as their representive as Royal Arch Provincial Communications Officer.

WBro Jason was initiated into The Lodge of St Paul Lodge No. 6516 in January 2010 subsequently becoming Worshipful Master in 2018. He is currently the Lodge's Membership Officer. He is a member of five further Craft Lodges in both the N&H Province and Metropolitan, previously holding offices of Worshipful Master, Secretary and Almoner amongst other active offices.

Jason received Provincial honours for the first time in the Craft in 2021 when he was appointed as Provincial Grand Steward.

He became a member of the Holy Royal Arch when he was exalted into Perseverance Chapter No. 455 in April 2023.

Jason lives in Kettering with Carla, his partner of 35 years. They have two children Jake 27 & Darby 24.

After completing his Apprenticeship as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Spacecraft Division at British Aerospace, Jason & Carla worked as Publican and Restauranteurs near Bath. Later he joined the Packaging Manufacturer Sealed Air and relocated to Kettering. Jason started his own Protective Packaging Company ‘Synergy Packaging’ in 2001 and still works in the business as Managing Director.

His hobbies are many & varied. Other than Freemasonry he enjoys Golf, Skydiving, Business, Walking and Motorcycles. He also is a motor enthusiast, maintaining Racing Classic cars which is a great fit with him being a Founder Member of the Mulliner Classic Car Lodge No. 10019.
