A meeting was held in the Auditorium where The Beatles performed their only live private gig 60 years before. The audience, including Lady Masons, Masonic dignitaries, and non-Masons alike, were enthralled by a fascinating talk by the Headmaster of Stowe School, Dr Anthony Wallersteiner, his knowledge and style of delivery left everyone amazed.

The event was very well supported and featured a full programme of events including a drinks reception in the South Garden to the accompaniment of the wonderful sounds of a string quartet, a cricket match, several tours of the house and gardens, along with an afternoon glass of Pimms and a cream tea.

The Pro Grand Master was fascinated by the array of classic cars displayed on the front lawns and readily agreed to having some photographs taken with the Worshipful Master of Mulliner, W Bro Steve Brown (second left above) and members of the lodge.

After lunch he was invited to drive our Provincial Grand Master’s Aston Martin DB5 under the watchful eye of classic car expert, W Bro Dermot Bambridge (pictured below). He certainly enjoyed himself and returned with a huge grin after living his James Bond moment.

All in all, it was a fabulous day at Stowe and a definite ‘feather in the cap’ for Mulliner Lodge, which was only consecrated in April 2022 and representing our Province so well.
