Open Evening Success

On Monday the 3rd of October 2022, Chicheley Lodge No. 607 held an open evening.

To encourage members of the public to find out more about Freemasonry in general and Chicheley Lodge in particular, Chicheley Lodge No. 607, which is based at Thrapston, held a walk-in open evening at Thrapston Bowls Club, the venue for the Lodge's festive board.

Publicity for the event was placed in local community magazines and circulated in towns and villages in the Thrapston area. This, combined with a leaflet drop carried out by Lodge members, focused on new housing developments in Thrapston and Raunds.

On the evening of the event, the new Provincial publicity and marketing package was on show as seen in the attached photograph. It was used to great effect and was well received by Lodge members, visiting Brethren and potential candidates. The photograph above shows Lodge Secretary Bro Adrian Cleave in conversation with Bro Allen Betts, Town and Country Lodge Mentoring Officer, who had arrived as an observer prior to the start of the event.

The evening was considered to be a success as Chicheley Lodge now has three very enthusiastic candidates, who will hopefully be Initiated in 2023.
