The first Annual General Meeting of the Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire New and Young Masons Club took place at Corby Masonic Centre on Sunday the 17th of March 2019.
Reporting on the meeting, the newly elected Chairman, Bro Daniel Cooke, said:
Thanks to everyone who attended the first AGM of the Northants & Hunts NYMC, and a special thank you to Corby Masonic Centre for their hospitality in hosting the event.
I think we have started well and have a great foundation to build on, This wouldn’t have happened without the fantastic efforts of the brethren who have been the driving force behind this club: Rab Reid, Mark Constant, and Steve Burton.
Many congratulations to those members who have taken a position on the committee:
- Chairman - Daniel Cooke
- Vice Chairman - Paul McGregor
- Secretary - Matthew Horton
- Treasurer - John Russell
- Membership Officer - Reuben Freeman
- Events Co-ordinator - Stuart Cooper
- Communications Officer - Mark Bosence
I'd also like to thank the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes, for agreeing to be the Patron of the club, as well as our President, Mark Constant, and Vice President, Duncan Childs.
Many congratulations to the MILANS CROOKS team, who won the 5-a-side football thereby becoming the first holders of the NHNYMC Boot, which now takes pride of place at the Corby Masonic Centre.
We shall be consulting with all the centres that have shown an interest in having a 'Light Blues' club. It is hoped those clubs will be up and running and in a position to hold their own events before summer. Several NYMC events are also in the early stages of planning.
We are holding the first committee meeting on Thursday the 18th of April 2019 and will update everyone on the progress made.
