The February meeting of England's Centre Lodge No. 2555 held at Sheaf Close, Northampton was a threefold special occasion.
Firstly, the Lodge was delighted to receive RWBro Max Bayes and six members of the group of brethren known as the “Twelve Apostles”, who completed the first Festival charity walk spanning the length of the Province.
Then, at the invitation of the Worshipful Master (WBro Jason Bates), WBro Paul DeChastelain initiated his son, Stuart, into the Lodge.
This proved to be a very memorable (and rarely seen) father-and-son ceremony, which was followed by a special rendition of the Initiate's Song at the festive board, one sung by “Brother Father” to “Brother Son”.
The evening was made even more special by Paul celebrating 45-years in Freemasonry, so it was most definitely a case of drinks all around!
