The most recent event of the Northants & Hunts Branch of the Masonic Trout & Salmon Fishing Charity (MTSFC) was held on 25 September 2014 at Ringstead Island Fishery with the kind permission of the Wellingborough and District Angling Association.
The regular MTSFC volunteers were joined by WBros Louigi Orsi ProvGSW, John Fergusson PPGStwd, a Visiting Officer from the Province of Middlesex, WBro Tony Bleakley MTSFC CEO, and WBro Malcolm Slaughter, area MTSFC representative.
Twenty-two children from three local schools attended and the day was enjoyed by all. Before the participants were presented with their awards and medals, the Branch’s new box trailer was officially handed over to Branch Chairman WBro Albert Bareham from WBro Barry Rogers on behalf of The Margaret Giffen Charitable Trust.
The Branch also received generous support from Kestrel Caravans Kettering for trailer storage, Gilders Country Sports of Kettering who supplied the bait, and members of the Rushden Esu Explorer group who erect the marquees.
