The meeting of Pomfret Lodge No 360 on 1 May was a very special evening for WBro Desmond Jones as it marked his 60 years in Freemasonry.
To commemorate the occasion, the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes presented him with his Jubilee Certificate and offered him many congratulations.
He was initiated in Pomfret Lodge on 6 May 1954, its Worshipful Master in 1967 and became an Honorary Member on 6 April 2006. For many years he was the Lodge’s Secretary. On 30 September 1982 he was a founder member of the Lodge of Harmony No 9048 and is also a member of Northampton Chapter No 360. He joined the Earl Bathhurst Lodge No 6313 In Province of Gloucestershire on 5 March 1984.
Since the presentation, WBro Neil has received his second Diamond Jubilee certificate, this time in the Province of Gloucestershire when a similar evening was held on Tuesday 6 May in Cirencester. The Provincial Grand Master for Gloucestershire, RWBro Adrian Davies JP presented WBro Jones with his certificate and a promotion to PPSGW (Gloucestershire).
