On Friday 2 March 2012 a packed Ellindon Masonic Centre at Peterborough was the venue for the third in a series of successful annual Sportsmen's Lunches held in the Province in aid of the 2013 RMBI Festival.
Over 120 enjoyed an excellent lunch followed by a raffle and auction in which various items of sporting memorabilia went under the hammer. The auction was conducted by one of the guest after dinner speakers, the voice of football, the commentator, John Motson.

With nearly 30 years as a Match of the Day commentator for the BBC and having commentated on over 1,000 matches he shared some of his rich sporting experience.
A second speaker was ex-professional footballer Ricky George who shot to national fame in 1972 when he scored the winning goal for Hereford United in the Third Round of the FA Cup to beat First Division Newcastle United. Both speakers were most entertaining and rapturously received.
Overall the event raised over £5,000 for the 2013 RMBI Festival.
