Cheques for £1,250 each have been presented by local Masons two children's charities which serve our area - Rainbows and Helen & Douglas House.
These amounts were raised by Wentworth Lodge No 737 and Hatton Lodge No 3041. The Lodges jointly held a "Jazz at the Lake" fundraising event during August Bank Holiday 2011 when they raised £900.
A further £1,000 originated from Hatton Lodge's Master's (WBro David Braund's) List and the Provincial Grand Charity contributed £600.

The total raised - £2,500 - was divided equally between the two hospices and cheques for £1,250 for each charity were presented to Odette Dawkins from Helen and Douglas House and Jennifer Leach from Rainbows on 3 April 2012 at the Provincial Grand Lodge Office in Northampton.
