On a notable day for Freemasonry in the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, the Installation of our new Provincial Grand Master took place at Wicksteed Park Pavillion, Kettering, on Wednesday 27 July 2011.
Over the years this venue has given immense pleasure to countless visitors. This day was no exception for the 480 Brethren Masonic Brethren present, representing nineteen Provinces.
In a relaxed and excellent ceremony, they witnessed the Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master, MW Bro Peter Geoffrey Lowndes, install RWBro Max Bayes. The newly installed PGM, in his address to the Brethren, said it was a great honour that had been bestowed upon him. He commented that he would he had a wealth of experience he could call upon for advice since there were no less than five Past Provincial Grand Masters on whose wise counsel he could call.
