Northampton Masonic Hall to Close

At Three Counties Lodge on 31 October 2011 the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes made an announcement concerning the future of St George's Hall, since 1971 the home of Freemasonry in Northampton. He said it was no longer viable to run and maintain the present premises and that alternatives were being considered.

 

Northamton Masonic HallOn 17 November 2011the Provincial Office released the following statement.

"The business at St George's Hall is no longer viable or sustainable and it is with regret that we have decided to cease trading on 31st May 2012. We apologise to all those this action affects but it is a result of the overall business climate and the ever increasing costs of maintaining the premises."
