On 5 and 6 June 2010 Lodge of Harmony No 9048 members, WBro Wayne Williams, APGM, and WBro David Tempest, Secretary, travelled to Cardiff. There they attended the World Wide Association of Harmony Lodges - hosted in Cardiff by the Lodge of Harmony No 8414 on the occasion of its Annual Installation meeting.
Representatives of Harmony Lodges in Guadeloupe, the Caribbean, South Africa, France, New York, Scotland and Cork also attended. At the Festive Board, at the request of the French speaking Lodge from Guadeloupe, the Brethren of the Cardiff Lodge, accompanied by their visitors, sang the Welsh National Anthem in their own language.
The draw to hold the next meeting in 2015 was done in reverse order to avoid the possibility of any cheating. The final choice was made by the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Capt Sir Norman Lloyd-Edwards KCVO.
Our own Lodge of Harmony No 9048 will host the next meeting of the World Wide Association in 2015 in Northampton. The PGM presented WBro Wayne Williams with the Travelling Gavel which the Lodge will look after until the next draw when it will pass on to some other part of the world. At its own Annual Installation meeting on Wednesday 8 September 2010 WBro Tempest presented the Travelling Gavel to the incoming WM, WBro Graham Hawker.
