As the major fundraising event of his Masonic year, the Worshipful Master of the Buckby Castle Lodge No 8932, WBro Trevor Moore, held a Pig Roast and Barbeque on Saturday 18 July 2009. This was at Fox Hill Park, a wonderful lakeside setting situated along the Long Buckby to West Haddon gated road.

Over 200 guests, including the Assistant Grand Master, WBro Wayne Williams and the Provincial Grand Secretary, WBro Norman Pope, attended the event.
| A grand total of £4,200 was raised in aid of the Buckby Castle Charity Account and a local good cause (support for the family of a local man who died in November 2008, leaving a young widow and two small children). |  |
