Members of Wentworth Lodge No 737 have over the course of 2012 been raising funds on behalf of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, amongst other worthy causes. Having come to the conclusion of the various fundraising activities, including the Cross Province Canoe Challenge and the traditional August Bank Holiday events, the Lodge were delighted that the Provincial Grand Charity decided to augment the total raised by £1,098.
The total raised during the year amounted to an incredible £11,770. On 10 December the cheque was presented to Great Ormond Street Hospital by the current Worshipful Master's son, Jack Mallett.

Jack underwent life changing neurosurgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital at the end of June, to overcome his complex epilepsy. Since his surgery he has amazed everyone with his remarkable progress and he remains seizure free over five months later. This is a dramatic improvement from when he could previously have had up to 20 seizures a day.
The Worshipful Master, WBro Rob Mallett and the other members of the Lodge would like to express their gratitude for all the support they have received from the numerous members within the Province.
